About the author

Two names. One writer.

Luke J. Wilson is a British author and theologian based in Devon. He writes across church history, devotional reading and fiction.

He holds a BA (Hons) in Biblical Studies and Theology from the University of Wales, and has spent more than seven years studying the Early Church Fathers on his own.

As L.J. Wilson, Luke writes the stories he’s been telling since he could hold a pen: supernatural fiction, psychological thrillers and comedy, all with a taste for the strange and weird!

Why two names?

The books fall into two quite different shelves, so they carry two names. It is the same author throughout.

Non-fiction

Luke J. Wilson

Under his own name, Luke writes accessible non-fiction about Christianity, Church history and the early Christian tradition.

Fiction

L.J. Wilson

As L.J. Wilson, he writes fiction: supernatural fiction, horror and stories with a taste for the strange.

Why “Chronically”?

Partly because I'm always writing something. And partly because I live with a chronic illness, which shapes how much I can write and how often. The books arrive when they're ready, at the pace my health allows.
